French Mineral Spa Glass #chatel

Glass handled cup in woven basket; missing leather strap. Used by women seeking treatment at medicinal spas wherein the doctor would prescribe them to drink a certain dosage of mineral water per day at different intervals. The glasses have markings to determine dosage. Women (and men!) would carry the baskets down from their rooms to the natural springs flowing. Measures 4 x 2.5. Provence, circa 1930.
